Weekly Letter

Dear Parents,

Good afternoon. We hope you have had a great week like we have. This week we have been working on many different things this week. First we have been listening to James and the Giant Peach. This is a great book! It’s a great book because it is funny and creative. We are just now getting into the adventure and James is in the Peach and has met the bugs. Next we have been making comics. The comics are being made on the computer and we are going to use them to make a story using quotation marks. It is awesome. Finally we have been learning about sound. We put our ear in a tube and listening to a tuning fork. Can you believe sound bounces off stuff and travels in waves? We have also learned that vibration makes noise and you need energy to start it. Sound can travel through water and other solid materials. In conclusion we have had an interesting week this week.

Sincerely

Your Third Grade

PS We are planning a hot chocolate stand, we had our highest spelling test average, and many of us are reaching our AR goals
