Weekly News

Dear Parents,

We have been learning so much in third grade this week. Read on to learn all about it. First we have been learning about the Roman Empire. Our class is working together to build a city out of sugar cubes. Each cube is equal to 10ft. We designed out buildings using the program sketch up from Google. Our city has everything you can imagine like a villa, an army base, an arena, a temple, a library, baths, apartments, stores, aqueduct, senator house, roads, and walls. We are having fun building our city. We are also making a news report about Rome.

Another thing we have been working on is math. This week we talked about square numbers. Our class took a test on subtracting 5 and 6. Most of us did ok but we could all use to continue to study.

Finally we sold lots of Hot Coco. We made about $80.00. Thank you very much Mrs. Browning, Mrs. Johanson, Mrs. Gormely for your help! We all did a great job selling and planning the fund raiser.

As you can see we have had a busy week. We all want to go home and take a nap.

Sincerely,

Your Third Grader
